Cleaning Process

As you look for a company who can clean your precious Oriental and Persian rugs, take a look at their cleaning process. A machine can ruin your rugs and test the integrity of the fibers within the rug as well. This can lead to serious damage.

At Rug Cleaning Long Island, we do NOT use any machines on your rugs. In fact, we ONLY handwash the rugs to ensure a deep and safe clean each time. Our cleaning process has earned us the great reputation that we have, and we never deviate from it because we know how delicate and precious your rug is to you. Below, we will introduce you to our cleaning process so that you can see why we are different and what makes us stand out.

Step 1: Inspection and Pickup

Once you call us, we will schedule an appointment to come see your rug. When we arrive, we will inspect the rug and look for any areas of concern, stains, and damage. We will alert you to these areas and make note of them so that they can be corrected. From there, we will properly transport your rug back to our state-of-the-art facility where it will be cleaned.

Step 2: Vacuuming Your Rug

Once your rug arrives at our facility, we will then vacuum it with high-powered air to remove any surface dirt, dust, and debris from it.

Step 3: Preparing the Rug for Washing

Now is when our rug experts will identify your rug based on its type, fiber, and color. We will perform a color test to ensure the colors will not run and we will also identify the best type of products to use on your rug.

Step 4: Cleaning Your Rug

Once we know the best products and cleaning method to use, our team will clean your rug and remove all stains, spots, and dirt from it. Our professionals use special brushes that do not damage the rug's fibers or surface.

Step 5: Drying Your Rug

After the rug is washed, it will be dried and then inspected to ensure that it is spotless and clean. Should there be any dirt, spots, or stains still visible, the process will be repeated.

Step 6: Repairs and Final Inspection

Any repairs and restoration will be made after the rug is cleaned. We do perform a final inspection prior to returning your rug to you. If the rug has passed our inspection, it will be delivered back to you, free of charge, at your convenience.
